Eighth Scientific Day of the German Society for Actuarial and Financial Mathematics (DGVFM)
On Thursday, 30th April 2009, the eighth Scientific Day of the German Society for Actuarial and Financial Mathematics (DGVFM) takes place in Berlin. The conference location will be Hotel Intercontinental. The Scientific Day happens in the context of the Yearly Assembly of the members of the DAV (German Actuarial Association) which will be held at the same venue from 28th till 30th April. As every year, the programme is characterized by numerous highlights.
The conference demonstrates the attractiveness of actuarial mathematics as an applied research field of probability theory and statistics. In particular, its intention is to offer a platform for scientists and practitioners to share their experiences and to discuss interesting quantitative problems arising in practice as well as in theory. We also cordially welcome students interested in the scientific aspect of this field.
We are happy to be able to offer a diverse and exacting programme. Several international speakers will be involved and will give high-quality lectures on interesting topics related to actuarial mathematics from their own area of expertise.
Kindly note the early-bird deadline of the Scientific Day. Your early-bird registration fee is € 55 until 1st March 2009. If you register before 29th March 2009, your registration fee will be ? 60. After this the fee will be ? 70. Please also note that students, pensioners and members of the DGVFM that are not members of the DAV only pay half-price.
